Our Commitment to Women Empowerment

At Uchana Sarvodya Welfare Foundation (USWF), we are dedicated to promoting women’s empowerment in India. We recognize that empowering women is not only a moral imperative but also an essential step towards achieving social and economic progress. Our commitment to women’s empowerment encompasses various initiatives aimed at uplifting women and creating a more inclusive society.

Challenges Faced by Women in India

India, like many countries, faces unique challenges concerning gender equality and women’s empowerment. These challenges include:
  • Gender-Based Violence: Women in India often face violence and discrimination, both within and outside their homes.
  • Limited Access to Education: In some regions, girls still have limited access to quality education, which hinders their personal and professional growth.
  • Gender Pay Gap: Women often receive lower wages than their male counterparts for the same work.
  • Lack of Leadership Opportunities: Women are underrepresented in leadership roles, both in the public and private sectors.
